Cup of Courage is a monthly gathering by InHerShoes for the modern woman to learn, listen, and share outside the lines. It's intimate design is meant to cultivate and catalyze meaningful conversations around topics that are often perceived as difficult, yet crucial, to share about.
Each Cup of Courage highlights a local small business making a positive impact on the planet, with proceeds going toward the InHerShoes scholarship fund for Catalyst Fellows - a unique program for high school girls to explore entrepreneurship by being 1% more courageous. With each ticket, guests will get to sit back, enjoy, and indulge in meaningful conversation at the relaxing Lunula Nails & Wellness.

Ada Trinh started her journey in the beauty industry at the age of 16 working as a nail technician at a busy salon in Boston, Massachusetts. After a decade of doing nails, she took a leap of faith and moved her life to Los Angeles, CA to pursue a career in the film industry. Fast forward 4 years later and she had established herself as a celebrity make-up artist, working on everything from commercials and television shows to feature-length films, documentaries and more. After noticing most of her male clients did not have any products to care for their skin, she decided to take another leap and make her own. Through the course of 2 intense years, Ada had succeeded in bringing her men’s skincare brand, Guise Etiquette, into many great stores such as Urban Outfitters, Jet.com, Fred Segal’s, and also won The Manual’s 2018 Best Aftershave of the Year award. Now a passionate entrepreneur, Ada decided that it was time to get back to her roots in the world of nails. In the summer of 2018, she opened up Lunula Nails & Wellness on Melrose Ave. Instead of running your typical crowded, quick and dirty salon, Ada wanted a place where her customers would enjoy a clean, calm and relaxing environment with an emphasis on crystals, natural nail polish and in-house, handmade treatment products.
Ada’s journey continues on, combining her love of beauty and business in a rapidly changing world. With a plethora of ideas and plans for the future, her career as a beauty professional and entrepreneur have only just begun.
